On August 21, 2025, Kathmandu University welcomed a high-level delegation from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to the Nepal Technology Innovation Center (NTIC). The delegation was led by Mr. Woochan Chang, Director at KOICA Headquarters, accompanied by Mr. Choong Hee Choi, Deputy Country Director of KOICA Nepal; Mr. HyunYong Lee from KOICA HQ; and Ms. Sristi Chitrakar from KOICA Nepal.

The team toured NTIC’s facilities, engaged with researchers and staff, and reviewed ongoing projects and initiatives aimed at driving technological innovation in Nepal.

A key part of the visit was an interaction with KU Registrar Prof. Dr. Rajeev Shrestha, where discussions centered on strengthening KOICA–NTIC collaboration, with particular emphasis on advancing research, innovation, and business development opportunities.

The visit reinforced the shared vision of KOICA and NTIC to nurture innovation ecosystems, promote research excellence, and build impactful partnerships that contribute to Nepal’s sustainable development.
